FRESHNESS & STORAGE

Cookies: Keep the cookies sealed until ready to use. Store them in a cool, dry place away from heat, humidity, direct sunlight, and liquids. Once opened, place them in an airtight container. When properly sealed and stored, they are best enjoyed within approximately 3–4 weeks. Do not refrigerate.

Royal icing: If you won’t use the icing right away, keep the sealed icing bags inside an airtight container or zip-top bag in the refrigerator for up to four weeks from the preparation date. About one hour before decorating, remove the bags from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature while still sealed. Gently massage each bag until the icing is smooth and evenly mixed.
